While we anxiously await Monopoly's City Streets, let me share some facts about the game.

Facts:

Arriving first and selecting a street allows you to purchase the street straight away. If you're beaten to it, you can make the owner an offer. If they don't reply in seven days, this offer is automatically accepted.

At the end of the day the landowner is automatically paid rent, unlike the original monopoly where you had to wait for someone to visit your property.

Accumulating enemies can be detrimental because of the ability to use the demolition ball.
